Our First Aid Qualifications

Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF)
Duration: 1 day
Cost: £100 per person
Course Content:

Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider.
-
Be able to assess an emergency safely.
-
Be able to provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty (breathing and not breathing correctly)
-
Be able to use an AED effectively.
-
Be able to provide first aid to a casualty who is experiencing a seizure.
-
Be able to provide first aid to a casualty who is choking.
-
Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with external bleeding.
-
Know how to provide first aid to a casualty who is suffering from shock.
-
Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with minor injuries.

Unit 1:

Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider.

This course is suitable for anyone who already holds a Level 3 First Aid at Work certificate, which is due to expire. A copy of your existing certificate will be required before booking on this course to ensure your eligibility.
Forestry First Aid (+F) Certificate
Duration: 2 hours
Cost: £50 per person
Course Content:

Identifying the severity of external bleeding

Techniques to control life-threatening bleeds

Applying tourniquets - manufactured and improvised
-
Applying haemostatic dressings and wound packing
-
Treating hypothermia
-
Understanding crush injuries and how to treat them

Identifying and treating tick bites and Lyme Disease
-
How to treat adder bites and insect bites
This course can be delivered as a stand-alone course or as an addition to any of the first aid courses listed above.
